Red Wing - 2966 Engineer in Black Klondike Leather

Sale price$680.00 CAD

Step back in time nearly a century with the men's pull-on Engineer boot. Introduced in 1936, it quickly gained popularity among railroad engineers. This style updates the timeless classic with luxurious Black Klondike leather, a rugged Neoprene Cord outsole and Goodyear welt construction for lasting durability.

Echoing in these boots is the low thunder of a locomotive charging to the horizon. First introduced as a pull-on boot for horseback riders and hunters, the style found new footing in 1941 with surveyors and mechanical engineers. This version revives the original pattern, honouring the same uncompromising fit and silhouette.

If you have a high instep, sizing these boots may be especially challenging. As per Red Wing’s recommendation, we suggest you choose a half to a whole EU or US size smaller (depending on if you have a wider or more narrow foot), than usually worn in other brands of shoes. This is due to the fact that the leather of their shoes will stretch and soften within the first weeks of wear due to bodyweight, sweat, and warmth. In addition, you will create your own footbed by wearing the shoe.

Warning: If you need to wear orthotics, please take your usual shoe size. They will prevent the creation of your own footbed.

Notice: All Red Wing shoes and boots are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
