Kardo - Chintan Camp Collar in Handloom Stripe

Boxy through the body with a convertible collar, CHINTAN’s frame is simple at first glance. The triple-stitch construction distinguishes its character running firm along the seams. Its panels meet with a measured tension, held together by compact lines that won’t shift or soften.

The handloom remains at the centre of Kardo’s work, where every fabric begins in the hands of a weaver. This cloth is woven on a complex, skill-intensive 8-pedal handloom by master weavers from Bunkar in Bihar, on frame looms guided entirely by hand and foot, carrying a quiet devotion to craft in every length of fabric. Each pass of the shuttle carries its touch, leaving small shifts in tension and subtle changes in shade that belong only to handwork. To Kardo, these are the signs of a living process, which makes the cloth feel honest when held, and comforting in the way it is worn over time.
